Overview

FlexPlays is a full-stack pickleball platform built for players and organizers who want to compete on their own terms. We designed and engineered the entire ecosystem — from a Flex League format that lets teams schedule matches within defined windows, to automated bracket generation, live scoring, DUPR rating integration, player profiles, venue discovery, and digital ticketing with QR verification. Built on a React + Vite frontend, a Next.js marketing site, and a high-performance Rust/Axum API backend.

The Challenge

The pickleball community was growing fast, but organizers and players were stuck juggling WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets, and rigid bracket tools that couldn't handle real-life scheduling conflicts. There was no single platform to track player progress, manage tournaments end-to-end, or bring a local pickleball scene together in one place.

Our Solution

We built FlexPlays from the ground up with the Flex League format at its core — teams schedule matches within defined windows on their own time while the tournament progresses automatically. We shipped automated bracket generation across single elimination, double elimination, and round-robin formats, live scoring with instant standings updates, DUPR rating integration, venue discovery and slot booking, digital ticketing, real-time notifications via SSE, community forums, and a friend system — all powered by a Rust/Axum backend with Razorpay payment integration.

Closing thoughts

FlexPlays is now the platform of record for competitive pickleball in its market — a full ecosystem built from zero in twelve weeks. From the Flex League engine to live scoring and digital ticketing, every layer was designed and engineered by TCC with one goal: let players compete on their own terms.
